As a manufacturer and supplier of respiratory care products, Gayatri Medikraft Inc recognises that an Environmental Management System (EMS) improves business efficiency and brings benefits across the whole company. These benefits include the reduction of the company’s environmental impacts, the creation and maintenance of safer working environments, the promotion of greater environmental awareness amongst employees, and improved focus on compliance with environmental legislation.

Gayatri Medikraft Inc is committed to minimising the environmental impacts of the company’s products, activities and services, and the prevention of environmental pollution. As the EMS is focused on a program of continuous improvement, Gayatri Medikraft Inc will: Ensure compliance with current and future environmental legislation, associated regulations and any other requirements.

  • Design and develop products that can be manufactured with efficient use of energy and resources
  • Expand the use of alternative materials that consume less energy during manufacture, and which have a lower environmental impact at disposal
  • Measure and monitor environmental performance by setting environmental objectives and targets, and ensuring achievement through internal environmental auditing and management review
  • Measure and compare the environmental impacts of our products in terms of human health, resources and ecosystem using a scoring system that is based upon Eco-indicator methodology
  • Continue to improve and modernise our manufacturing processes to minimise the generation of hazardous waste
  • Ensure staff are trained to understand their role in minimising the environmental impacts of their activities
  • Divert wastes from landfill by reusing office & factory materials and products wherever possible,recycling and sending all other wastes to facilities, which generate energy from wastes – such as incineration with energy recovery
  • Keep up to date with recycling methods and materials, and where financially viable, source suitable end users for our plastic by-product and other recyclable materials.
